Casey's just opened a new store in Iowa that's unlike any around it.

Back in October of 2020, we told you that Casey's was getting a new look. They modernized their look with a new logo and dropped "General Store" from their name. Their online ordering, delivery, and curbside services have evolved recently too. Plus, they added new breakfast items last year that included burritos, bowls, and more. That's a lot of "new." Now, they've switched things up again.

According to KCCI, the general store giant opened a 3,380 square foot store in Des Moines that's missing one major thing--The gas pumps. It may seem strange to see a Casey's without pumps, and not be able to fill up at the same time you get your morning coffee, but it was done purposefully. They want to focus on food, convenience, and beverage service. You may not be able to get gas, but the business located at 3121 Forest Ave does offer their delicious pizza, drinks, and snacks. Just like the Casey's you know and love.

Don't worry, there are still plenty of traditional stores around. According to the data company ScrapeHero.com, Iowa is actually home to more Casey's stores than any other state in the U.S. with over 530 locations. In eastern Iowa alone we have a ton.
