Blue Barn BBQ in Cedar Falls is at it again, helping students and teachers in the community. The owners of the BBQ stop in the former Dairy Queen building on 18th St. announced last week on Facebook that they were seeking online donations while also planning to pitch in profits to the cause. They've been giving updates on their page on the progress as well.

You may recall, when the pandemic became top of the page news in March, Blue Barn began offering meals to kids not in school, as many students relied on the meal they got at school to hold them over if their families didn't have the financial stability to afford to feed them otherwise. According to the WCF Courier, the owners Aaron Broshar and his wife Ashley hope to raise $24,000 as a means to distribute two-ply reusable cloth masks to all of the roughly 16,000 students in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls school districts.

Patrons can donate by using Blue Barns Venmo, which you can find on their Facebook post along with more information.
