Popular Waterloo Bakery Announces Exciting Move for 2024

A popular bakery in the Cedar Valley is changing things up in the new year.

2023 was a HUGE year for Bambinos! You might have spotted the bakery's most popular treats "Bambinos" at your local Hy-Vee. The shop shares the same name as these adorable little treats!

In 2022, they opened their first physical location in Waterloo at 1445 Ansborough Avenue. Then, just last year they opened up shop on Main Street in Cedar Falls.

Bambinos is the passion project of a local cancer survivor named Donna O'Brien. The bakery is described on its Facebook page as a combination of her, "Italian heritage, love for baking and passion for helping others."

O'Brien has been running the business from her own home for several years.

O'Brien is the brains behind the operation and a breast cancer survivor as well. She has insisted since the bakery's inception that a portion of the profits goes towards a non-profit organization called Beyond Pink Team.

Starting 2024 With A Sweet Move

The team behind Bambinos just announced that they would be moving out of their current Waterloo location in the new year.

Customers should be expecting to step into this new location sometime during the month of January.

Business hours for the Waterloo location are expected to remain the same. However, during this new transitional time, the Cedar Falls location at 401 Main Street will be TEMPORARILY closed.

The team behind Bambinos did say that you can still get their signature sweet treats at Sarah's Espresso Cafe which is located at 419 Main Street.

Where Will the New Waterloo Location Be?

According to the social media posts regarding the move, Bambinos will be moving from Ansborough Avenue to 2110 Kimball Avenue.
