Area Man Arrested for Assaulting 12 Year Old Child

A Northeast Iowa man has been taken into custody, for allegedly assaulting a 12 year old child.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has arrested 51 year old Michael Recker of Arlington on Wednesday (Oct. 11).

The arrest follows a week-long investigation, in which Recker is accused of assaulting a 12 year old child.

He is being charged with Child Endangerment.

Recker was also wanted on a Federal Parole Violation.

He was taken to the Fayette County jail where he bonded out on a $2,000 cash bond on the state warrant, but is still being held on the federal warrant.
