There has been another delay in the sentencing of Chris Soules, northeast Iowa's famous reality star, who was involved in a deadly accident.

A judge has approved the request to postpone the sentencing of Soules.

Soules, 36, of rural Arlington, was the driver of a truck that rear-ended a tractor driven by Kenny Mosher of Aurora. Mosher was killed in the April 24, 2017, accident. Soules did stop to render aid and call 911, but left before law enforcement arrived.

He has pleaded guilty in Buchanan County District Court, to a reduced charge of leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.

Soules was scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 12 in Buchanan County District Court in Independence. The date has now been changed to May 21.

The change was made due to a request from the Mosher family, because a member of the family would not be available that day to attend the hearing. Also, the assistant Iowa Attorney General who is handling the case was scheduled for another trial on that date.

If Soules' plea is approved by the court, he could be sentenced to up to two years in prison and a fine of up to $6,250.

Soules became famous for his television appearances on "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars".
