Remember getting excited when you'd hear the ice cream truck? I've decided the adult equivalent is when you know you have a package coming, and you hear the sound of the delivery trucks brakes outside your house. With Amazon's new vans being fully electric, they're required by law to make some sort of sound when they're traveling under 18.6mph, so Amazon decided to combine that with the ice cream man principle.

A video someone caught of the truck going by shows the new sound, which some are comparing to an alien spaceship, but it's more of just a constant pad sound.

Amazon plans to have at least 100,000 of these delivery vans out there in the next two years.
