Looks like our summer here in Iowa may not be as boring as we all thought it would end up.

Officials at Adventureland Park in Altoona have announced on Facebook that they will be opening back up to the public on June 5th. As Gov. Kim Reynolds has announced many quarantine restrictions being lifted in Iowa, this has allowed the family favorite amusement park to open this summer. One thing to note though is that although the park will be open, the water park will not reopening at this time.

That's okay though because you can still have some fun and scream your head off on all the rides! What are the pandemic restrictions you might ask? Well, they will only be allowed to open at 50 percent capacity, patrons will be required to follow social distancing guidelines and there will be more signs to help with this. In addition, rides may not be opened at the start and some may be closed periodically for deep cleaning.

At this time, the park will be open to the public starting June 5th from 10 am to 6 pm. However, if you are a season ticket holder you will be able to process these passes on June 1st and 2nd and will have early access to the park starting on June 3rd.
