45 Years Ago Today: DEATH WISH was Released in Theatres

The first of five Death Wish movies starring Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey was released on this day, July 24, 1974.

The movie featured 23-year-old Jeff Goldblum in his very first movie role. His character was "Freak #1." (he was also briefly featured in the official trailer for the film, see below)

Sonia Manzano, best-known as "Maria" from Sesame Street, had an uncredited part as a supermarket checkout clerk:
