What makes a party? Definitely need food and drinks. Some good music. A bounce house for the kids. OOOH and a helicopter! Now we're talking.

That is how I assume the conversation went down as the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department planned their annual open house party.

An investigation is happening in Rancho Cucamonga California. Three children were hurt at an event involving a bounce house and a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department helicopter.

A sheriff's helicopter landed on the rooftop helipad when the downdraft from it caused the bounce house to lift off the ground, officials say.

The helicopter also blew down a tent and multiple small children. An unidentified woman said her children were among the victims. She claims her kids suffered injuries from either being hit by debris or being thrown to the ground.

This incident happened on April 30th. Three children who were injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. Pictures of the injuries can be seen in the video above. Officials say one child who was inside the bounce house at the time of the incident did not need to go to the hospital.

ABC 7 reported that one child's parent said she was given no warning about the helicopter. The sheriff's department said it was publicized that the helicopter was part of the event.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the FAA are investigating the incident.

If there is a lesson to be learned here, it is that helicopters, bounce houses, and small children do not mix.
