The Fayette County Sheriff has arrested two northeast Iowa men on separate warrants.
On Thursday (Jan. 5) 22 year old Scott Marcov of Dubuque was arrested at a residence in Clermont on an active warrant from Dubuque County. The warrant was for a 180 day mittimus/fail to serve jail time, which he failed to complete. Marcov was held in the Fayette County jail until he could be turned over to Dubuque County authorities.

Also on Thursday, at about 10:30am, 28 year old Dusty Jaynes of Monona was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for violation of parole. Jaynes was held in the West Union jail on no bond.

The Fayette County Sheriff investigated an accident Wednesday evening (Jan. 4) involving a deer. It happened at the intersection of "W" Avenue and Highway 3, south of Westgate. A car driven by 52 year old Marty Symmonds of Sumner was southbound when he hit a deer that was crossing the road. No one was injured, but there was about $5,000 damage to the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica.
