On January 19, 2004, Democratic Presidential candidate, Howard Dean, finished third at the Iowa Caucuses behind John Kerry and John Edwards and he was a bit pumped up in his speech to his followers, 'yelling' into the microphone:  Not only are we going to New Hampshire, Tom Harkin, but we're also going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to California and Texas and New York. ... And we're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan, and then we're going to Washington, D.C., to take back the White House! Yeah!


Three days later, he was featured on The David Letterman Show during the "Top 10" segment as he recited the "Top 10 Ways That I, Howard Dean, Can Turn Things Around."


But his joy was short-lived, just 30 days later he had ended his presidential campaign.

His triumphant "Yeah" at the end of the first half of his speech was used in memes and remixes many, many times throughout the years:
