11/6/2000: Antonio Freeman Makes Amazing Catch on MNF vs. Vikings
20 years ago tonight: Antonio Freeman of the Green Bay Packers made an incredible catch to beat the Minnesota Vikings in overtime on Monday Night Football.
Brett Favre launched a deep pass to Freeman, who slipped on the wet grass as cornerback Cris Dishman deflected the ball at the 20-yard line. The ball bounced off the back of Freeman's shoulder, and as he rolled over, he grabbed the ball, jumped up, and journeyed through the rain-soaked Lambeau Field into the end zone.
The Packers won 26-20.
The Vikings ended up winning the NFC Central Division that season with an 11-5 record, but lost the NFC Championship game 41-0 to the New York Giants.
