The University of Northern Iowa Panthers face their fourth top-10 opponent in wrestling this year when they travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on No. 8 Iowa State on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM-CT.

UNI is coming off a 21-16 win over MAC opponent Kent State.

“Iowa State has a good team,” said Doug Schwab. “There’s no doubt about it. That kind of effort we had at Kent State, we need that at Ames. Our team will be ready and excited for it.”

The Panthers beat the Cyclones 24-13 in the West Gym last year, but Iowa State holds the series lead winning 55-17 over UNI. The series started back in 1924, the second year of Panther wrestling.

UNI has five wrestlers in the NCAA rankings, and nine Cyclones hold a spot.

Fans have organized a bus to Ames that leaves by 11:30 a.m. from the gravel parking lot northwest of UNI-Dome.

The cost is $30 and will stop at the Pizza Ranch in Story City following the dual. Fans are responsible for their ticket to the dual and their meal on the way home. Reserve a spot by emailing or tykimble@truenorthcompanies.com or calling (319) 404-4120.
