It was a great weekend to be a Hawkeye. The Iowa men's and women's teams both won their first round NCAA Tournament games and will play for the right to advance to the Sweet 16. The Iowa wrestling team won their first NCAA Championship since 2010 on Saturday too. And it was in the aftermath of that win that you realized that the Iowa athlete of the weekend was Spencer Lee.

Lee won his third straight NCAA Title at 125 pounds on Saturday. It wasn't a result that surprised too many people. But it was during the interview after his match that Lee revealed some shocking news.

You heard correct. Spencer Lee, already a two time NCAA Champion with one ACL, tore his OTHER ACL just eight days ago. He told no one. Made no excuses and went out and won championship number three. I can't think of recent athletic achievement that shows more guts than that. Only Spencer Lee.

But he wasn't the only Iowa Hawkeye to catch wind of that news. Iowa's Luka Garza, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, caught that interview and was also amazed. Garza said, "I know that kid is tough and I know he's a champion. But to hear that is going to motivate me forever." Just what Oregon wants to face later today. A motivated Luka Garza.

So to quote the great Spencer Lee, the three time champion with NO ACLs...

F excuses. Excuses are for wusses.
