Senior day in Iowa City on Sunday went off nearly without a hitch. Iowa topped #2 Ohio State. Caitlin Clark broke another record. Five amazing seniors were honored after the game. But one of those seniors sat in a wheelchair with her leg and knee wrapped. The injury to guard Molly Davis silenced Carver-Hawkeye Arena and had many Iowa fans wondering if we'd seen the last of the headband-wearing hero in an Iowa uniform.

As tough as it was to watch on Sunday, the news got better on Monday. First, the bad news. HawkCentral reports that the injury to Molly Davis' right knee will keep her out of the women's Big Ten Tournament this weekend in Minneapolis. Davis was injured in the 2nd quarter Sunday trying to steal an inbound pass from the Buckeyes. But now, the good news!

HawkCentral reports that Davis will begin therapy next week on the injured knee with the goal of returning to action for the Hawkeyes this postseason. Many had feared that Davis tore her ACL. Iowa is idle next week leading up to the March 17th NCAA Tournament selection show. The first week of the NCAA Tournament is March 22nd and 23rd.

HawkCentral reports that Iowa coach Lisa Bluder said in a news release that "we are so thankful that the injury she sustained is not season-ending."  Davis has moved seamlessly into a starting role for Iowa this season and despite the injury, provided one of the great moments for fans on Sunday.

Never count Molly Davis out. I have a feeling that we just might see the headband back in the Iowa lineup this postseason. Go Molly and LET'S GO HAWKS!
