Z's Pizza & Diner will soon be open for business.

The beloved pizza shop used to operate out of Waterloo, but in early spring 2021 the owners announced that the shop would be making the move to Waverly. Their final day in the Waterloo location was Friday, July 2nd, according to a social media post.

The main reason for this location's closure was related to the pandemic, according to a report from KWWL.

The owners and staff of Z's have been keeping everyone updated with the progress of the new location. From what we can get from these posts is that the hardest thing about creating a new location is done. The majority of construction on the building is completed.

There is no word on the exact date that this pizza place will be ready to welcome visitors. However, we do know that they will not be doing delivery at first and that they will be open Tuesdays through Sundays.

The new location 211 W. Bremer Avenue in Waverly.

Cedar Falls has seen quite a few new restaurants open up in the historic Downtown district. Carter House is open right next to the Black Hawk Hotel which opened late this summer. Also, a restaurant called Georges opened in the same spot that Santa's Workshop always resided in on Main Street.
