Young Area Resident Taken Into Custody on Warrant

A young local resident has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Just before 8pm Sunday (Feb. 26), 18 year old Shawnessy Washington of Oelwein was arrested by Oelwein Police.

Washington was wanted on a Fayette County Warrant, for Failure to Appear in Court, on an original charge of Accessory to a Felony.

The arrest was made after a traffic stop in the 2500 block of South Frederick in Oelwein.
