Two Northeast Iowa women have been arrested following a weekend incident in Oelwein.

 

At about 6:30pm Sunday (March 19), Oelwein police were called to a disturbance in the 1st block of 6th Street NE. There, officers took 28 year old Mistie Schmidt and 29 year old Sara Kelley, bot of Oelwein, into custody. Both are charged with Interference with Official Acts, Refusing to Assist Officers, and Harassment of a Public Official or Employee.

Oelwein police were called out early Sunday to an altercation in the 100 block of South Frederick. Responding officers arrested 46 year old Richard Fuller of Westgate for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

Late Saturday night, Oelwein Police pulled over a vehicle in the 10 block of 2nd Avenue SE. The driver, 35 year old Ryan Martin of Oelwein, was cited for Driving While his License is Suspended.

And on Friday evening, 30 year old Nathan Kirby of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to appear. The original charge was Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Kirby was arrested during a traffic stop in the 900 block of 3rd Avenue NE.
