Waterloo Man Injured In Early Morning Stabbing
A woman is accused of stabbing a man during a domestic argument in Waterloo early Wednesday morning (Feb. 1, 2017).
Officers were called to break up an argument between Shaniyah Grisby and Jordan Welch, both of Waterloo, at Grisby's apartment on W. Donald St. shortly before 2:30 a.m. Police spokesman Dave Mohlis said the verbal altercation turned physical when Grisby stabbed Welch twice in the arm with a knife.
Welch, 20, received treatment at a local hospital and was released. He was then arrested for violation of a no-contact order.
Grisby, 19, was also transported to the Black Hawk County jail. She was charged with willful injury causing bodily injury and domestic assault with a weapon-first offense.
