Waterloo Man Convicted In Shooting Of 9-Year-Old Boy
One of two men charged in a shooting that injured a 9-year-old boy in Waterloo last year faces up to 25 years in prison.
A jury on Monday (March 27, 2017) convicted Mar'yo Lindsey, Jr., for his role in the incident, finding him guilty of multiple charges in Black Hawk County District Court. He will be sentenced at a later date.
Lindsey, 21, and Aundrey Roberts, Jr., 23, were both taken into custody after a house was sprayed with bullets on Dec. 15, 2016. One of the projectiles struck Anton Kincaid in the hip while the child was lying on a coach inside the home at 1241 W. Mullan Ave.
At the time of his arrest, Lindsey was booked on several charges. They included: going armed with intent, willful injury causing bodily injury, carry weapons, possession of weapons by a felon, and intimidation with a weapon.
Testimony in Lindsey’s trial began in Black Hawk County District Court on Wednesday (March 22).
Roberts’ trial is scheduled to start late next month. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of willful injury causing bodily injury and intimidation with a weapon.
