Waterloo and Vinton Drivers Collide
Two Northeast Iowa motorists, one from Waterloo and the other from Vinton, were involved in a two vehicle accident this morning (Friday, Jan.22) on Interstate 380, that sent one of them to the hospital.
The Linn County Sheriff was alerted of the accident at about 7:45am, in the southbound lanes of I-380 near Center Point.
A car driven by Amadu Dawon of Waterloo, made a lane change, striking the rear of a car driven by Traci Speidel-Pflughaupt of Vinton, forcing her car into the ditch.
Speidel-Pflughaupt was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries; the other driver was not hurt.
The accident is being investigated by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
