Waterloo Air Show Preparing To Take Flight
Organizers are expecting around 100,000 spectators at a weekend air show in Waterloo. Members of the media were allowed on the grounds Thursday (August 21, 2014), as pilots and performers were converging on the Cedar Valley to prepare for the event.
"Thunder In The Valley II" will be held on Saturday and Sunday (August 23-24, 2014) at the Waterloo Regional Airport, beginning at 10:30 a.m. each day. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. Admission is $20.
The event is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Waterloo and will feature several performances, including the Thunderbirds of the United States Air Force, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the Aeroshell Acrobatic Team.
