The city of Hazleton has running water again.

A water main broke early Monday, emptying the water tower. Repairs to the water main and sewer lines have been made, city officials said Tuesday morning.

The city had been waiting for a locator to find the exact location of the break. At the time, the locator was working in another community. Smith Excavating was then called in to fix the water main break.

While the water is running again in Hazleton, the pressure will be low until the water tower gradually refills.

City officials said the boil advisory that was announced Monday, will remain in place until further notice.

Emergency management left bottled and gallons of water at City Hall for Hazleton residents.
