We've all had that friend who, when you're about to do something dumb, they stay back at a safe distance and roll the camera. Apparently that also applies to Canadian police officers too.

Video posted online shows how a Canadian policeman was able to help out a friendly animal in a predicament.

Police in Toronto shared the video with the caption, "What do you get when a police officer and a skunk cross? Law and Odour!"

A skunk wanders into the shot, and the officer says "Yep, that is a skunk with a McFlurry cup on its head, and officer of the month here, is trying to avoid all attempts at getting sprayed."

Officer (or Constable, if you're into that sort of thing) Zamani wore his blue gloves to protect him from the germs the skunk probably was carrying, and kept trying to get ahold of the cup.

Eventually, he was able to grab the cup and pull it off of the skunk's head, and when he did, the skunk looked surprised.

It turned around to run, but surely looked as if it was about to spray the officer, Constable Zamani. That'd be why he also turned around to run and hide behind the police cruiser.

“Be mindful not to litter, keep our community safe and clean,” police said.
