UPDATE: Waterloo Police Identify Victims In Weekend Shooting
Waterloo police have identified the two victims involved in a weekend shooting.
Authorities said Monday that 19-year-old Marquavion Brown of Waterloo died from the gunshot wounds he suffered in the shooting. The second victim, 21-year-old Quintorey Kemp, continues to receive treatment at a local hospital.
The shooting happened around 6 PM Saturday in an alley near an apartment complex at 625 Madison Ave. Waterloo police said officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene. They also found a car with shattered windows nearby.
According to police, the case remains an active investigation. Authorities didn't reveal any information about potential suspects. They are asking anyone with information to contact the Waterloo Police Department or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers.
