Two Men Charged In Bremer County Burglary Spree

Two men have been arrested on multiple charges connected to a burglary spree in Bremer County last month.

Benjamin Schiel, 36, of Tripoli, and Chad Lindquist, 46, of North Liberty, were both taken into custody on Tuesday (Nov. 27, 2018). Authorities charged both men with four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree theft and two counts of fifth-degree theft.

According to sheriff's officials, items were stolen from several vehicles and two garages in rural areas of Bremer County between Waverly and Denver from Oct. 5 to Oct. 25.

Shiel was taken to the Bremer County Jail, where he was being held Tuesday on a $5,500 bond. Lindquist was already in the Winneshiek County Jail for an unrelated offense.
