Two Hurt In Weekend Cedar Falls Crash

Cedar Falls public safety officers are investigating a weekend accident that sent two people to the hospital.

Authorities identified the injured victims as Gregory Burkett, 40, and Michaela Walker, 29, both of Cedar Falls. They were taken to different Waterloo hospitals, but the extent of their injuries wasn't known.

Officials said Burkett and Walker were hurt when their car rolled multiple times and came to rest on the exit ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 218/Iowa Highway 27 to Lone Tree Road. Investigators are trying to determined how the accident occurred.

The single-vehicle crash happened Saturday, just before 9:30 PM.
