
Threat of Severe Weather on Wednesday in Iowa
Severe weather is a possibility in Iowa Wednesday/Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines says:
Damaging winds and large hail remain the main concerns although a few tornadoes will be possible.
As of Tuesday morning, the biggest threat of severe weather is pinpointed north of Highway 20.

Rain is more than needed in the state. In Waterloo, the record low amount of precipitation in the month of July is only .33" set in 1998. So far this month, Waterloo has only received .14" of rain.
It has been 38 weeks since Waterloo received at least an inch of rain in a single day. On October 22, 2020, it rained 2.94".
