It was going to be fun, fun, fun...until Mother Nature took our concert away.

VenuWorks tells us that due to safety concerns and everything going on with derecho recovery efforts, the McGrath Amphitheatre concert featuring the Beach Boys scheduled for this Friday, August 21, has been canceled.

From the VenuWorks press release: "ticket holders may request a refund at their point of purchase. Guests who purchased their tickets online through Ticketmaster, charge-by-phone, or at the U.S. Cellular Center ticket office with a credit card will receive an automatic refund. Due to a high volume of cancellations, you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days." They also say, and we echo, "our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all Iowans as they recover from derecho 2020.  We look forward to returning soon, until then, please be well and take great care of each other."

As of now, the U.S. Cellular Center box office phone lines are still down. E-mail the ticket office for more details here.
