A Witness At The Scene

A man who was present during the shooting explained that he, Rogers, and the victim had been joking about fights and guns when he handed the loaded handgun to Rogers. He stated that shortly after handing the gun over, he heard a gunshot and witnessed the victim collapse.

Rogers has maintained her innocence, insisting to the police that she was not aware the gun was loaded and that there was no altercation with the victim prior to the shooting.
