A man in Des Moines was seen shoveling his driveway after the storm...pretty normal, right? Well, someone snapped a photo of him digging out the road, but he was missing something.

The snow is supposed to stop around noon, according to meteorologists. This lead me to wonder how bad the winters in Iowa can get. So, I fell down a major weather rabbit hole trying to figure out Iowa's history with snowfall. Today, with this snowfall the city of Des Moines actually broke a record set back in 1895. On January 25th, 10.3 inches of snow fell on the capital city, which is only the second time that the capital has gotten more than 10 inches on this specific date in over a hundred years.

Severe thunderstorms dumped heavy rain and produced strong, damaging winds when they rolled across northeast Iowa Monday night.

A quiet, sunny afternoon is setting the stage for an active weather night across northeast Iowa.

A pair of tornadoes touched down in northeast Iowa on Monday, leaving a path of destruction in three counties but causing no injuries.

April is just weird.

With a wind advisory in effect, it's causing problems in Iowa.
