If you live in Iowa, you no doubt have seen morning fog at some point especially if you're near a major river. But, I doubt many have seen it from this perspective. A pilot shared video of what the morning fog rolling off the Mississippi looks like from above.
I'm not exactly sure of what I just witnessed. If I didn't know better, it's a pilot who allegedly had a delicious taco dinner while flying 15,000 feet over Waterloo recently.
During the winter months, starlings (especially in the U.K.) will form into massive flocks of 100,000 or more and put on a hypnotizing show in the sky. It’s called a 'Murmuration.’
But why do they do this? They initially roost together at night for warmth, but predators will find it quite difficult to target one bird in a flock of thousands...
