Flooding

It was 13 years ago today that the devastating Iowa floods of 2008 began leaving a costly damage path in their wake. Videos from that time remind us of just how bad it really was.

Qualified residents are eligible to receive grants for home or car repairs, replacement of clothing or food, and temporary housing expenses.

Anyone who made reservations to camp are getting their money back.

Flood warnings continue for all or parts of several northeast and east-central Iowa counties following another day of rain.

A flash flood warning is posted for Butler and Franklin Counties until 3 AM Monday, and Black Hawk Creek is under a flood warning through late Monday evening.

An extended period without any precipitation should help the region's rivers and streams. Plenty of sunshine is in the forecast for the next several days.

Several rivers in northeast Iowa are being forced out of their banks following two days of heavy rainfall.

Some areas could receive 2-3 inches of rain or more

Minor flooding is expected.

The water level is forecast to reach 90.6 feet on Monday.
