Fans of Skittles have been waiting for eight years for their cries to be heard, ever since the Lime flavor was removed from the Skittles 'Original' flavor lineup. It was replaced with Green Apple in 2013, and caused an outcry from true fanatics of the candy.

Skittles listened and has decided that it's time to go with what they know works. The candy is bringing back the infamous Lime flavor, thanks to a constantly ongoing online footprint of people looking for the flavor.

"It's no secret that Lime has been a hot topic for SKITTLES fans since we replaced them with Green Apple back in 2013. Green Apple has had a good run, but the fans have spoken and it's time for Lime to return to the rainbow," said Fernando Rodrigues, Mars Wrigley Senior Brand Manager. "What better way to bring better moments to our loyal fans, than with the return of the most asked about flavor? The joy of Lime can't be denied anymore. It is back. This time for good."

Original and Sour Skittles will now have their classic flavor lineup:

  • Orange
  • Lemon
  • Grape
  • Strawberry
  • Lime

You'll be able to start finding the updated (or restored) candy this fall, in the usual sized packs.
