The Greek alphabet was formed a long time ago. Does it need a new improvement?

I remember being a kid and watching my mom type and thinking, "there's no way I'll ever figure out how to do that." Then when I first stepped into typing class in middle school, I was just looking at the keyboard and wondering why the keys aren't just in order of the alphabet. Christopher Latham Sholes was the newspaper editor who came up with the QWERTY design.

The whole point of the QWERTY design is so letters that are used more often are typed by our stronger fingers. Also, the positioning of the letters involves common parings of letters like 'th' and 'st'.

But while watching my niece learn her ABC's, it just seems like if we start kids singing the QWE's instead of the ABC's, it would make more sense when sitting down at the keyboard. Granted, a large percentage of society has learned how to type just fine the way it is, but its curious. Obviously, every word has random letters in it, but it could be an easy change to make.

Try the ABC song this way... it's still pretty good.

Q-W-E-R-T-Y-U-I-O-P-A-S-D-F-G-H-J-K-L-Z-X-C-V-B-N and M

Now I know my QWE's, next time won't you sing with me.
