An accident in Bremer County, involving two vehicles and a tractor, put two people in the hospital.


Bremer County sheriff officials were called to a multiple-vehicle accident on Iowa Highway 93, just west of Tripoli, about 1:45 PM on Monday (Oct. 22, 208).

A westbound car driven by 25 year old Patrick Laconte of Tripoli, traveled west of center and struck an oncoming tractor pulling two grain wagons. Laconte's car then hit an oncoming SUV driven by 58 year old Kendra Lampe of Waterloo.

The operator of the tractor, 53 year old Brian Kuker of Tripoli, was not hurt. Patrick Laconte and Kendra Lampe were taken to Allen Hospital in Waterloo. There was no indication of the severity of their injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Bremer County Sheriff, with charges pending.

The sheriff was assisted at the scene by the Iowa DNR, Iowa State Patrol, Tripoli Police, Fire, and Ambulance, Denver Ambulance, and the Iowa D.O.T..
