Reporter Gets Hit By Car During Live TV Broadcast [VIDEO]

"That’s live TV for you. It’s all good. I actually got hit by a car in college, too, just like that. I am so glad I’m OK."

In West Virginia, a news reporter was struck by a car during a live TV broadcast Wednesday night. After the accident, she stood up, brushed it off, and managed to finish her report, video shows.

Tori Yorgey of WSAZ-TV in West Virginia was outside Wednesday night getting ready to report on a water main break in Dunbar when an SUV drove into the shot and then.... into her! The accident caused Yorgey to crash into the camera.

As Yorgey fell out of frame, her camera was knocked to the ground, but it kept rolling. Yorgey is heard saying, "Oh my god! I just got hit by a car, but I’m OK. I just got hit by a car, but I'm OK, Tim,"  referencing news anchor Tim Irr, who was in the split-screen and seem completely unfazed by the incident.

"Wow, that’s a first for you on TV, Tori," Tim Irr said.

The driver of the SUV could be heard apologizing and Yorgey assured her she was okay.

As the live broadcast continued, Irr asked Yorgey where she was hit by the car because he just saw her disappear, the anchor said.

"I don't even know, Tim. My whole life flashed before my eyes."

"Uh, it can happen," said Irr.

After getting herself up off the ground and fixing the camera, Yorgey continued her original report.

"But again, Tim, we’ll get back to the report, right? We’re on Roxalana Hills Drive in Dunbar. This is where that water main break is..." she said.

Yorgey mentioned that this incident occurred during her final week with the station.

"From there, I’ll head to my home state of Pennsylvania to continue reporting in the city of Pittsburgh…where I’ll be closer to family," she added.

After the video was posted on Twitter, commenters decided to pick fun at the video, and also congratulate the reporter for having such a good attitude about the situation.
