REO Speedwagon Coming To The Quad Cities With Styx
REO Speedwagon, the band known for hits like Time For Me to Fly, Take It On The Run, and Ridin' The Storm Out, is coming to the Quad Cities.
The rock group will be rolling through to the TaxSlayer Center on September 6th, 2022 with their friends Styx. They announced the tour with this goofy video:
Opening for the two bands is Loverboy, who you know for their hits, like Working For The Weekend.
Styx will follow up Loverboy and rock out with their hits like Renegade, Come Sail Away, Mr. Roboto, Too Much Time On My Hands and more.
Styx got their start in Chicago, making them an Illinois band just like REO Speedwagon.
REO Speedwagon was formed in the late 1960s in Champaign, IL. The band started off riding to gigs in station wagons, looking to get their name out there as much as possible.
Today, the band's music is on the radio in every town they visit, making them a recognizable name for all ages.
The show will bring Kevin Cronin, with bandmates Bruce Hall on bass, keyboardist Neal Doughty, Dave Amato on lead guitar, and drummer Bryan Hitt, REO has remained busy since the band celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2007.
Tickets will be available through TicketMaster and at the TaxSlayer Box Office starting on Friday, February 18th.
