COVID-19 isn't the only thing to worry about when it comes to illness - we have to always pay attention to recalls and, I have one to share with you. The FDA reports certain bagged salads sold in Iowa from both Hy-Vee and ALDI have been sickened with cyclosporiasis which one gets from cyclospora. Cyclospora are a small parasite, and cyclosporiasis causes diarrhea and an upset stomach. While seldom does cyclospora cause hospitalization, it's still no fun.

The products in question are the bagged salads sold at ALDI as Little Salad Bar Brand Garden Salad, and Garden Salad from Hy-Vee grocery stores.

Luckily, the FDA reports few have been hospitalized, and none have died. However, 28 cases from Iowa have been reported, 23 from Illinois and 10 from Minnesota. The FDA also states they are in beginning stages of investigating the outbreak and there may be additional retailers and products impacted.
