One Dead In Rural Bremer County Accident

Officials are investigating an accident that left one person dead on private property in a Bremer County Tuesday night.

The Iowa State Patrol says the victim fell in front of a pick-up that was pulling forward without the driver knowing that someone was under the vehicle. Authorities didn't immediately identify the person killed.

Officials say the fatal accident occurred outside a rural home off County Road V-14 southeast of Plainfield just after 8:30 PM.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Bremer County sheriff's officials, Waverly police, and Waverly emergency medical technicians.
