Study: Minnesotans Are Among The Least Attractive in The Country

Before you grab your pitchforks—relax. I didn’t conduct this study, and honestly, I don’t agree with it. I know plenty of beautiful people from Minnesota. That said, a new study is making some pretty bold claims about the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

A study by Bonus Finder ranked every state in the country to determine which produces the most attractive people. Take a look at the most and least attractive states based on their study below.

Which State Has the Most Beautiful People?

For this study, Bonus Finder looked at factors like the number of beauty pageant winners, professional models, Victoria’s Secret Angels, and even “Sexiest Man Alive” winners.

Surprisingly, Illinois took the top spot with a score of 76.1 out of 100. According to the study, the state has produced four Miss USA winners, three Victoria’s Secret Angels, and two Sexiest Men Alive honorees.

Here are the top 10 states:

4. Nebraska
5. New York
6. Hawaii
7. Oklahoma
8. Vermont
9. Florida
10. North Carolina

So… Where Does Minnesota Rank?

Not great.

Minnesota came in at #43 overall, landing it near the bottom of the list. Ouch.

On the positive side, Minneapolis ranked #5 among cities with the most attractive men. But on the flip side, Minnesota ranked #7 among states with the least attractive women, according to the study.

This isn’t the first time Minnesota has landed in a ranking like this. A few years ago, the dating app Clover released a similar study using its own “proprietary” system to evaluate attractiveness.

In that report, Montana had the best-looking men, while Connecticut was home to the most attractive women.
