Chrissie Hynde fans are offered a glimpse into the Pretenders founder's backstage life through a new documentary, Arena: Alone with Chrissie Hynde, which is set to premiere in February.

Arena is scheduled to debut courtesy of London's Regent Street Cinema starting Feb. 1, as part of the venue's monthly film night program. Promising a "thoughtful and intimate portrait of a 'lone, hungry, irritable wolf,'" it presents footage collected over the course of a summer, and sees Hynde traveling from London to her Ohio hometown while offering "a glorious live performance at a tiny London venue" that "showcases Chrissie’s charismatic stage presence and punctuates the film."

Along the way, the filmmakers present fans with a peek at Hynde "at her most relaxed" by capturing a series of interactions — from her tailor to famous friends like Sandra Bernhard and Dan Auerbach, people on the street or the movie's crew, Hynde's personal and professional downtime offer the movie's "most revealing" segments.

"We all want to hang with our favorite rock stars," argues the official synopsis. "Here’s your chance to enjoy some alone time with Chrissie Hynde."

Details regarding U.S. distribution or an eventual home release have yet to be made public, but fans who plan to check out Arena at the Regent Street Cinema — or simply want to get more information about the movie in the meantime — can visit the venue's official site.

Hynde and the current Pretenders lineup, meanwhile, remain on the road with Stevie Nicks as part of the Fleetwood Mac veteran's recently extended 24 Karat Gold Tour. Nicks and the Pretenders are scheduled to share a bill through early April.
