We know you've got questions, and we're here to provide the answers to the most commonly-asked questions. If we missed something, let us know and we'll add it below! Alright, here we go.

When and where is the Cedar Rapids Beer Summit?

Saturday, May 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (or 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for VIPs) at the DoubleTree by Hilton Convention Complex in downtown Cedar Rapids.

How much are the tickets and where can I purchase them?

Tickets are available online at americaontap.com. VIP tickets are sold out, but you can still purchase general admission for $45. They are $50 the day of the event. While we will not be able to take cash at the gate, tickets may be purchased on-site using your mobile device. Designated driver tickets are $10.

What drinks/breweries will be represented?

Breweries from all over the U.S. and even a couple from Germany will have select beverages at the event. You can see the list of breweries here.

Do I have to print out my tickets?

Tickets on your mobile device are preferred, but you can bring printed ticket(s) with you. We can scan either, but mobile is simpler... probably for both of us.

  • We'll begin checking IDs about 30 minutes before the doors open.
  • Expect a line but we move people through very quickly.

Do you have to be 21 to get into the Cedar Rapids Beer Summit?

Yes. No one under 21 is admitted into this event. Everyone entering must provide an ID, which will be checked at the door. No photo ID, no entry. Sorry, but there are no exceptions.

Will there be food available?

Yes, food will be available to purchase.

  • While you can't bring in outside food or beverage, we don't count pretzel necklaces. We encourage those.
  • All food and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold by the Doubletree Convention Complex and its staff.

Do I need money at the event?

Yes, if you're planning on eating. Otherwise, no. All beer sampling is included in the price of your ticket.

What do I need to have to get in?

Your ticket (on your mobile phone or printed) and your photo ID.

Where do I park?

Several parking ramps are available close to the venue along with some street parking. The first hour is free in the parking ramps and after that, it’s just 75 cents per hour.

Do you have a last call?

Yes, that occurs at 8:50 p.m. Note: Absolutely no beer can be taken from the event. No exceptions.

Will there be cabs available?

Cabs are not provided but are certainly available. Ridesharing services are also available in Cedar Rapids.
