The Iowa State Patrol is investigating an accident involving a transit bus and an SUV, that put 3 people in the hospital.


It happened just before 2pm Thursday (Nov. 30) in Floyd County, at the intersection of Highway 18 and Glass Avenue, just south of Rudd.

A transit bus with an unknown number of passengers, was northbound on Glass, when it failed to stop for a westbound Jeep.

Two occupants of the bus were injured, and the driver of the SUV reportedly sustained very serious injuries.

All three were taken to a Mason City hospital.  No names have been released.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Floyd County Sheriff.
