A Nashua man is facing charges following a tire-slashing spree in Cedar Falls this week.

On Wednesday (July 19, 2017), officers arrested Christopher Rumachik, 31, at his home. He was then transported to the Black Hawk County Jail in Waterloo, where he booked on a warrant charging him with second-degree criminal mischief.

According to Cedar Falls police, officers responded to six incidents of tires being slashed in different areas of the city on Tuesday. During the investigation, authorities determined that Rumachik was responsible for the crime-spree.

In one incident, witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect and the vehicle they saw leaving the scene. Witnesses also provided the vehicle's license plate number, police said.
