Monkey Named “Uncle Fatty” is Feared Dead

A monkey named "Uncle Fatty" has gone missing from a 'fat camp' in Thailand and has not been seen for the last four months.

The macaque was put on a diet two years ago as he was twice the average size for his species, weighing 33 pounds.

It didn't work --- he started stealing food from other macaques before disappearing in February.

Superstitious locals believe in a legend that the forest 'reclaims' the bodies of the monkeys, but others fear he has been eaten.
