Man Wounded Himself During a Firearm Safety Course
An Eastern Iowa man is recovering, after accidentally shooting himself while participating in firearm safety training.
Just before 3pm Saturday (May 30), the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Linn County Rescue, Central City Fire Department, and Center Point Ambulance were called to the scene of an accident involving a weapon.
An investigation determined that 25 year old Ryan Bagby of Cedar Rapids, accidentally fired his gun, with the bullet striking Bagby. Information on where he was injured on his body was not released.
He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The accident occurred at the North Linn Fish and Game Club near Central City.
