Cedar Bend Humane Society is the only humane society in Waterloo and they need our help to reach their goal. Not only can you order food at Panera Bread in their "Raise Dough for Shelter Pets" event coming up on March 23rd, but you can also use this as a fantastic volunteer opportunity. Simply go here to find out how you can help with this benefit, or any future events, to benefit animals.

First off, Panera bread is awesome. That alone should get you to stop in between 4 p.m and 8 p.m, but if you love animals and helping out your local community, I hope you can take some time out of your day to visit this fundraiser. Do you ever see abandoned or stray animals around where you live? I see stray cats all the time, in the alley behind my house, and I'd love to be able to find a safe place for them to stay. Without humane societies, this wouldn't be possible. That's why it's up to us to help out places like Cedar Bend. Animals Shelters receive most of their money through fundraising and donations and Panera Bread will give back twenty percent of the fundraising that day to Cedar Bend Humane Society.

You can order online at panerabread.com and enter the code PRFUND or just bring the flyer with you to the register. The great news is every order counts. Whether you dine-in, order online, pick up, or go through the drive-through, you'll know part of your proceeds go towards a good cause.
