A long time veteran in the Mixed Martial Arts world, holding the records for "most sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts bouts", (320) and the most wins in MMA (255) Travis Fulton, has now been charged with sexual exploitation of a child, possession of child porn and receipt of child porn. These charges came to light, as he was awaiting trial on willful injury and domestic assault charges in connection with a September of 2019 incident involving a Waterloo woman.

As reported by the WCF Courier, the charges were brought Friday when Fulton made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. He then pleaded "not guilty" and was detained pending a further hearing.

According to court records, obtained by the WCF Courier, the charges allege Fulton attempted to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct for the purpose taking pictures with a Canon PowerShot camera in November 2020. The court records also show that he is also accused of possessing a DataTraveler flash drive with child porn involving a child under age 12 between November 2018 and November 2020.

The 43 year old Fulton attended Cedar Falls high school and then started his MMA career in 1996. He is also a Golden Gloves boxer and owns a second-degree black belt in karate. Most recently, Fulton has been living in rural Parkersburg. He faces up to 70 years in prison if convicted. On Wednesday, Fulton's attorney waived the detention hearing and will remain in the Linn County Jail until his trial, which is tentatively set for sometime in April.
