
Teenager Dies After Colliding With Wrecker
A northeast Iowa teenager has died in a two-vehicle accident in Fayette County.
Sheriff's officials identified the victim as Thomas Rolison, Jr., 18, of Waucoma. They said he died after his car collided with a semi-wrecker at a rural intersection near the community Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 6, 2018).
According to authorities, an investigation determined Rolison was driving south, when he entered the intersection and ran into the semi-wrecker, driving by John Rasmusson, 32, of Cedar Falls.
Rolison was trapped in his car and had to be extricated. He was flown to a hospital in LaCrosse, Wis., where he was later pronounced dead. Rasmusson escaped injury.
Tuesday's crash happened shortly after 4 PM on 230th Street, about five miles south of Waucoma.
The accident reamins under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Technical Collision Investigator.
